What is Unstopaccess.com:

Threat Classification: Adware

Unstopaccess.com (a.k.a. Ads by Unstopaccess.com or Unstopaccess adware ) is presented as a web service, which allows users to use “indirect browsing“, which basically means, that user’s are allowed to use Unstopaccess.com’s proxy servers to browse 3rd party websites, some of which may be block in user’s home country, however, this doesn’t automatically mean, that blocked website will be accessible by “indirect browsing” proxy servers even though it’s stated on the website’s homepage. On the Unstopaccess.com Terms of Service page it’s clearly stated, that “Any resource, downloaded through our services may be modified by this service“, which basically means – the “indirect browsing” service will modify web pages, by adding some web ads, which is the way we use to sponsor the service. The Unstopaccess.com Privacy Page states, that the website will collect the requested URI (web page URL, requested by the user), the data provided by your browser to the requested website (username, passwords, screen resolution etc)the originating IP address (your IP address) and all the cookies, provided by these 3rd party websites. Finally, our malware experts warned us, that the Unstopaccess.com service, is regarded as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Product) and/or an Adware by the majority of the reputable malware researchers and that the Unstopaccess.com service is fully capable of infiltrating computers without consent and that it employs various adware related methods for intrusive ads delivery and that the collect private browsing data will eventually be either shared or sold to some 3rd party company, that will use it for its own marketing purposes. Our security experts concluded, that this should be considered a security risk and they’ve recommended our users to stop using Unstopaccess.com service and to run a full system malware scan.

Generally, users that have it installed on their systems experience various pop-up ads, coupon boxes, banners, search suggestion windows, sponsored link ads or other types of commercials, which have being displayed on almost every requested web page. We recommend you to consider the search results compromised and/or manipulated and because they are usually full of 3rd party ads and/or other junk SPAM.

Unstopaccess.com Ads is usually bundled with some other free ad-supported products and has being installed by default, while the user performs an express/default installation. That is why we strongly recommend you to always opt-out and use custom installation if possible and available. If you deselect all the unwanted (not requested by you) software from the software bundle installer process will save you a lot of time, troubles and money wasted for the recovery process. You should leave selected (included) for installation only the initially requested software. The possible distribution of Unstopaccess.com Ads varies but is not limited to – installing 3rd party toolbars, free software products, video editing software, various multimedia codecs, downloading e-mail attachments, clicking suspicious ads or banners etc.

The main goal of all Adware applications (including Unstopaccess.com) is to generate revenue for its developers – the most popular way is to monetize the web traffic by showing as much web ads as possible on almost every web page, which users is browsing. The web ads are coming from one of the multiple online marketing systems over the network. Please note, that these people are doing this for the money, so when they collect some private information – it’s saved for later use – they will try to sell it to some marketing company, which will use it for its own marketing purposes. That is why these kinds of infections should not being left unattended, and need to been terminated immediately, as they present a serious threat to your online, personal and financial safety and security.

!!! Please note, that these infections could potentially bring up other malware to your computer and even cause data loss. Please, do not underestimate such threats!!!
