How to remove “Ads by Screen Flip”
What is Screen Flip:
Threat Classification: PUP/adware
Screen Flip or Ads by Screen Flip or Screen Flip Ads is an adware application, developed by the SuperWeb LLC. It is considered a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) and/or adware program, which displays various ads shown as pop-up boxes, coupons, underlined keywords, ad banners and sponsored links. If your browser starts showing “Screen Flip Ads” , “Ads by Screen Flip”, “Screen Flip Ads”, “By Screen Flip”, “Powered by Screen Flip”, “Brought by Screen Flip” or “Brought to you by Screen Flip”, you should consider your computer infected with the Screen Flip adware. The adware works well with all the major web browsers like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
Generally, users that have it installed on their systems might experience various pop-up or pop-under ads, coupon boxes, banners, search suggestion windows, sponsored link advertisements or other commercials, displayed on popular web pages. The infected computer might also show little buttons referring you to similar products, which would bring extra money to the adware creators. The victim’s search results are compromised as well. Usually the search results are full of third-party advertising and/or SPAM.
Screen Flip is usually bundled with some other free ad-supported software products and is being installed by default, when the user accepts the EULA, while performing an express/recommended installation of that software bundle. The possible distribution of Screen Flip varies but is not limited to – installing third-party toolbars, free software products, video editing software, codecs, downloading e-mail attachments, clicking on ads or banners etc..
