How to remove “Ads by 7Save”
What is 7Save:

Ads by 7Save or 7Save is a malicious browser extension, that is classified as an adware and/or a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) and is capable of displaying various ads on almost every web page you visit. Please note, that the ads, shown by the 7Save are not safe and you should avoid clicking on them. If your browser starts showing ads “by 7Save Ads” , “Ads by 7Save”, “7Save Ads”, “Ad by 7Save”, “Powered by 7Save”, “Brought by 7Save” or “Brought to you by 7Save” – you should consider your computer infected by the 7Save malware. The adware works just fine with all the well-known web browsers like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
Generally, users that have it installed on their systems might experience various pop-up or pop-under ads, coupon boxes, banners, search suggestion windows, sponsored link advertisements or other commercials, displayed on popular web pages. The victim’s search results are compromised as well. Usually the search results are full of 3rd party advertising and SPAM.
7Save is usually bundled with some other free ad-supported software products and is being installed by default, when the user accepts the EULA, while performing an express/quick or recommended installation of that software bundle. The possible distribution of 7Save varies but is not limited to – installing third-party toolbars, free software products, video editing software, codecs, downloading e-mail attachments, clicking on not safe ads or banners etc.
The main goal of 7Save is to generate as much web traffic as possible, that could easily be monetized via one of the many online marketing platforms. Please note, that the creators of that or similar adware collect private information from your computer, that might be used to track your browsing habits, IP addresses, Bookmarks, Usernames, Passwords and even financial information, however often they collect much more than just that. That’s why this infection should not be left unattended, and needs to be terminated immediately, as it presents a serious threat to your online, personal and financial safety.

!!! Please note: You can remove 7Save Adware manually, although you should proceed at your own risk. Any of the below-mentioned interventions might render your system inoperable. 1. Remove 7Save Uninstall Entry:
First, you can try to go to Control panel and click on Programs and Features (Windows Vista/7/8/10) or Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP) and check the Uninstall Programs` List for all entries related to 7Save, Bestadblocker, Coupon Time, CutThePrice, ExtensionSimple Blocker, IQIYI, iReview, Obrona Blockads, Media Player 1.1, Video Player, YoutubeAdBlocker, 1ClickDownload, Yontoo, FBPhotoZoom, Mac Free Converter, DP1815, Youtube Downloader HD, DVDX Player 3.2, Fast Free Converter, SafeSaver, Convert Files for Free, Plus-HD 1.3, BetterSurf, Trusted Web, PassShow, Savings Bull, Feven Pro 1.1, Couponpueke, Savings Bull, HD-Plus 3.5, LyricsBuddy-1 or any third-party add-ons, extensions and toolbars. If you find such, right-click on it and try to uninstall it. Although, please mind that these are actual infections and you might not be able to remove them directly from the list.
*(Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs) or “Win + R” keys to open “Run” and type in “control”, then hit enter.
2. Remove 7Save from your browser:
Go to Tools -> Internet options -> Advanced Tab and click the Reset button (make sure to select the Delete Personal Settings checkbox).
*please note that in order to save your favorites, you need to export them before resetting the browser as you will lose all personal settings.
After IE completes the operation, click the close button and then close IE in order for the changes to take effect.
Go to the following path (you can copy-paste it) and delete the entire “Chrome” folder with all its content – including all the files and all the subfolders.
For Windows XP: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\
For Windows Vista/7/8/10: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\
Alternatively, you can navigate to these folders by following these steps:
For Windows XP:
1. Click on “Start” in the bottom-left part of the screen.
2. Choose “Run“.
3. Type %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\ and hit Enter.
For Windows Vista/7/8/10:
1. Click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left part of the screen.
2. Type %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\ and hit Enter.
1. At the top of the Firefox window (upper-right corner), click the Firefox Menu button, go over to the Help sub-menu and select Troubleshooting Information.
2. Click the Reset / Refresh Firefox button in the top-right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page.
3. To continue, click Reset / Refresh Firefox in the confirmation window that opens.
4. Firefox will close and be reset. When it’s done, a window will list the information that was imported. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.
